The official representative of Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin has spoken about the reported interest in his client from Manchester United and Liverpool.
While the Red Devils are set to stay without David De Gea in the summer, the Reds are also on the lookout for a new shot-stopper, as Jurgen Klopp is believed to be far from happy with Simon Mignolet’s performances.
As a result, both clubs are looking at Mattia Perin, but his agent has suggested there have been no concrete moves yet.
Agent Matteo Roggi, however, claims that his protege is ready to leave Genoa for greener pastures at the end of the season.
“I’ve been hearing these rumours for the last four years,” Roggi told Radio Kiss Kiss. “Unless the wheel of international goalkeepers starts spinning, nobody is going to move.
“As soon as somebody moves, a domino effect begins. He’s ready for a leap of quality into a top club, but he could also take an intermediate leap and play in the Europa League.
“We’re ready for the change, but we’re peaceful about it. We won’t leave just for the sake of leaving, as he’s already playing in a great team.”
Mattia Perin, 23, is widely believed to be one of Italy’s hottest prospects at the moment and he has already amassed 121 Serie A appearances.
The Italy international is clearly ready to make a big club move in the summer transfer window, and everything suggests he will not be staying in Italy.
