Perotti signs new Genoa deal

Serie A outfit Genoa have announced on their official website that star player Diego Perotti has signed a new deal with the club.

The Argentine will remain tied to the Rossoblu until June 2018, but his salary has been increased and now stands at €1.4 million per campaign.

Genoa chiefs clearly did a great job to persuade Perotti to remain at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, with quite a few top sides having expressed their interest in his services.

The 27-year-old joined the Rossoblu after struggling for playing time at Sevilla and Boca Juniors, and he successfully got his career back on track.

Perotti went on to score 4 goals in 27 Serie A starts last term and was widely tipped to join a top Italian side in the summer, only to remain at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The former Argentina international has now pledged his future to the club by signing a new deal, putting an end to transfer speculation.
