Universitario midfielder Christofer Gonzales has caught the eye of quite a few top clubs from Europe, according to Libero.
The 22-year-old has been earning rave reviews for his performances in domestic championship, and it appears a move to Europe is on the cards.
Peruvian media outlet Libero has suggested that the player should be available for some €1.6 million, with Celta Vigo reportedly leading the chase.
Meanwhile, Gonzales himself has revealed interest from FC Porto and Udinese, while suggesting he is ready to leave his current employers for greener pastures.
“The goal is to emigrate. I have done well at Universitario but it’s time to leave in order to grow and fight for a place in the national team,” the youngster told Depor.
“They told me of interest from FC Porto, Udinese, and few other clubs from abroad.”
Christopher Gonzales came through the youth ranks at Universitario and went on to score 12 goals in 75 league appearances for the Peruvian giants.
He scored once in five matches during club’s Copa Libertadores campaign, while he has so far earned 4 Peru caps, albeit failing to appear for the national team in a competitive fixture.
