Two sides enduring very different starts to the new season, high-flyers Peterborough will have the chance to climb into the automatic positions when they host rock-bottom Bradford on Saturday.

Starting with the hosts, enjoying a very bright start to the season, Steve Evans will have his sights set on trying to secure a return to Championship football for the ABAX Stadium. Coming off the back of a 2-1 win over Luton in the Cup, the Royals have now won four of thier last five and now sit just two points adrift of automatic promotion. One man to watch for Peterborough will be leading goalscorer Matt Godden. Already bagging 11 goals this season, the 27-year-old also scored a brace in last week’s win in the FA Cup. Also holding the best-attacking record in the division, the hosts should fancy their chances of carrying on their impressive run of form.

As for the visitors, in stark contrast to Saturday’s hosts, things could not be going any worse for Bradford. Despite briefly flirting with the playoffs last season, the Bantams now sit rock-bottom of the League One table and they have now remarkably lost eight of their last nine. With a winless run that goes all the way back to the start of October, it will be their defensive record giving new boss David Hopkin’s the biggest headache. The visitors have now conceded 12 in their last five and currently hold the worst defensive record in League One.
