Petrov invites Liverpool bid

Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has revealed his love for the Liverpool Reds.

The 32-year-old arrived to Villa Park in 2006 and has stayed with the Villans ever since.

However, the Bulgarian still regrets the fact that he never played for the club he supported as a boy.

“I’d swap with any Liverpool player because I’m a Liverpool fan,” Petrov told Match of the Day Magazine.

“It’d be great to have that experience. But sometimes dreams don’t come true.

“I’ve been a Liverpool fan since a young boy.”
