The officiating in the Premier League has been under constant criticism over the past few years, plenty of it warranted as unbelievable mistakes kept happening, despite the use of technology as an intended aid in decision-making. The PGMOL has been apologizing to clubs wronged almost on a weekly basis.
Scandals are therefore a regular occurrence in the English top flight, and at the moment, a new problem has engulfed the integrity of the body tasked with organizing and controlling the work of referees. A video has emerged of referee David Coote calling former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp a “German c*nt” and labelling Liverpool themselves as “sh*t”. A person sitting beside Coote concludes the video with words, “Long story short: Jurgen Klopp’s a c*nt, Liverpool are all f*cking bellends and we all hate Scousers.”

The PGMOL have suspended Coote with immediate effect, until a full investigation is conducted and concluded.
“David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation. PGMOL will be making no further comment until that process is complete,” their statement reads.
Coote, who has been behind a number of highly dubious decisions that went against Liverpool in recent seasons, has reportedly denied any wrongdoing and is adamant that the incriminating video is not genuine. Experts are currently examining it.
