Steven Pienaar has ended speculations regarding his new destination by confirming he will join Tottenham.
Spurs won the race with Chelsea for the player’s signature and they will announce the £3 million deal later today.
The South African midfielder announced the news on his Twitter account.
“To end speculation I am going to Spurs.
“I’ve had brilliant years at Everton and it will always be a special place in my heart. I can also confirm I’ll be jersey number 40.”
Pienaar will sign a four-year deal with Tottenham and he is eligible to play in the Champions League this season.
