Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 20/21 to score anytime against Aston Villa in Tuesday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score anytime

Odds: 20/21 @ 888sport

Undoubtedly with the mood in their camp at a real high, FA Cup finalists Arsenal will make the trip to an empty Villa Park on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, watching Everton pick up a devastating late equalizer on Mersyside last week, Aston Villa still find themselves stuck three points adrift of safety with just two contests remaining. Knowing that they realistically need to collect a shock victory in midweek if they’re to avoid an immediate Championship return this summer, Dean Smith’s side have managed to win just one of their last 13 Premier League appearances, a run that stems back to January 21st. Continuing to struggle with some rather glaring issues at the back, the former Brentford boss should also be concerned by what is a worrying record against Tuesday’s guests. Hit with a 3-2 defeat when they made the trip to North London earlier in the season, Villa have lost each of their last seven straight meetings against the Gunners and should be in for another tough test in midweek.

As for the visitors, once again shocking many and picking up a 2-0 win over Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final, Mikel Arteta’s men will be traveling to Villa Park filled with confidence. Bouncing back from their derby day defeat against Tottenham earlier in the month and battling from behind to snatch maximum points off of Liverpool, fans around the Emirates will be hugely excited by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Man of the Match display over the weekend. Bagging a brace against the now-former Premier League champions, the Gabon marksman has enjoyed another stellar campaign in the capital. With 25 goals across all formats this season and 20 of those strikes coming in the Premier League, it should also be noted that the former Borussia Dortmund striker found the net against Villa when the two sides faced off earlier in the campaign.
