(GSM) – Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué has accused Atlético Madrid players of ‘hunting’ his teammate Lionel Messi during their match, last Sunday (2-1 win for Barca).

Messi left the field with an ankle injury after a horrific foul by Atlético defender Tomáš Ujfaluši who saw red for his dangerous challenge.

Piqué is angered by the way his terrific teammate is ‘hunted’ by opponents.

“Now it seems that everything is valid in the world of football … I feel sorry,” the towering centre half stated.

“They hunted him.

“Anything goes when trying to stop the big players.”
