Pique to buy a club?

According to reports in Andorra, Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is in talks to purchase FC Andorra who are currently playing in the fifth tier of Spanish football – which is the equivalent of the National League in England.

Pique is still playing at an extremely high level but he appears to be putting the pieces in place for when he eventually retires from the game. He runs an investment company called Kosmos who would be behind the purchase, as he clearly seems to be interested in staying in football long after he hangs up his boots.

Many had initially tipped Pique for superstardom during his first few years with Manchester United, and then eventually Barca. Even then, though, he seems to have reached a level that few could’ve anticipated both on and off the pitch.

With that in mind, we can only assume that big, big things will be in the future of FC Andorra.
