Andrea Pirlo is on the verge of penning a new deal with Juventus, ESPN understands.

The Italy international, who is out of contract in the summer, has been strongly linked with a move away from Turin though he now looks set to remain with the Old Lady for at least another season.

In twenty Serie A appearances this season, the 34 year old has scored three goals, whilst he has notched up another nine games in cup competitions.

The former Milan man is confident that his new contract will be completed with no problems, and his future could even be resolved ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, where the veteran midfielder will be set to add to his 107 international caps.

Juventus host Fiorentina in the first leg of their Europa League last sixteen tie this evening, and can be backed at a price of 4/9 for the win.
