Serie A newcomers Carpi are weighing up January move for Chilean midfielder David Pizarro, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The minnows have found it hard to adapt to the elite division and they needed a total of seven matches to record their first win of the campaign.
And with the difficult relegation tussle on the cards, Carpi officials plan to seriously reinforce the squad in the winter.
Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that former Fiorentina star David Pizarro has emerged as their top target, which is hardly surprising given his quality and huge Serie A experience.
The 36-year-old left Italy after 16 years to return to boyhood club Santiago Wanderers, but he could be tempted by the opportunity to get back to Serie A.
During his illustrious career, Pizarro has represented the likes of Udinese, Universidad de Chile, Internazionale, AS Roma, Manchester City and Fiorentina, while earning 46 Chile caps.
