Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro admits that he could return to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old has a contract until June 2013 with Werder Bremen, but he has yet to enter talks regarding a new deal at Weserstadion.
The Peruvian striker is pondering his options and with the Bundesliga outfit already out of the race for Champions League places, Pizarro could decide to leave the club at the end of the season.
The player was recently linked with moves to QPR and Qatar as well as a return to Bayern Munich, and he is not prepared to rule out anything for the time being.
“There is no contact with Bayern,” Pizarro was quoted as saying in Bild.
However, the Peruvian admits that a return to Alianz Arena is a realistic possibility.
“I’d be stupid to exclude that. Everything is open.”
Pizarro, who has 16 goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances this season, explains that he first plans to talk to Werder.
“I will soon hold talks with Werder. It could happen that it takes even longer, until a decision is made.”
