According to a recent report from Sport, Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic rejected an approach from Manchester United once he learned that Barcelona were interested in his services.
The Bosnian had been at the heart of a pursuit from both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, with offers from both clubs initially being considered. However, once the Spanish giants threw their name into the hat and a verbal agreement was agreed, there was no way back.
The Red Devils will be hoping that they’ll have a bit more luck elsewhere over the course of the next few months in the summer transfer window – if it goes ahead, that is.
Pjanic’s potential switch to the Nou Camp could turn out to be one of the most intriguing stories of the summer, but again, Juve could end up keeping hold of him if the COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the world of football.
