According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Premier League clubs have delayed the decision on the official dates for this year’s summer transfer window. The next shareholder meeting is set to take place on July 24th, but with the season ending on July 26th, the vote is expected to take place before that.
The COVID-19 pandemic has already ensured a great deal of chaos has swept through the 2019/20 season, and now, it’s down to the 20 teams in the top flight to decide what’s going to happen for the 2020/21 campaign.
The clubs have yet to decide on a start date for next season, too, with the popular opinion being that things will get underway once again at some point in September.
For now, though, the focus from the Premier League will be on completing the remaining set of fixtures, and from there, talks can begin on what happens next for everyone.
