Competition: League One
Market: Plymouth win
Odds: 7/5 @ Bet 365
With the chance to climb out of the relegation zone, Plymouth will host a struggling Walsall side on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while it might have been a sluggish start for Derek Adams side, the Greens have started to show some real signs of improvement. Coming off the back of a 2-1 win over Coventry on Saturday, Plymouth have now won their last three League One matches on the bounce and another victory on Tuesday would see them climb out of the relegation zone for the first time this season. One man to watch for the hosts will be former Tottenham youngster Ruben Lameiras. Grabbing a brace over the weekend, the 25-year-old has now bagged six goals since the start of 2019.
As for the visitors, while Walsall may have managed to pick up a 3-0 win over Gillingham last weekend, it doesn’t cover what has been a worrying run entering January. Losing their other three previous League One outings, Dean Keates’ side have freefallen down to 15th and will be looking over their shoulder. One area that will be most concerning the Walsall boss will be their form away from the Banks’s Stadium. The Reds have recorded just one win on the road in their last eight attempts, a run that stems back to the 6th of October.
