Pochettino opens up about Eriksen

“He has always been happy here. Of course, everyone has their aims and challenges but I told you before the Arsenal game that he was in the right mind. That’s why I selected him,” Pochettino said. “He is such an important player for us and one we appreciate a lot. He is happy and if he can play, he will. All the decisions will be made on performances.”

Those are the words of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino who has confirmed that Christian Eriksen has always been happy during his time in North London. The Danish star has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs to Real Madrid, but up to this point, nothing has come to fruition.

Many fans still maintain that he will leave sooner rather than later, but either way, it’s clear to see that Tottenham will do just about anything in order to keep him on the books.
