Pochettino speaks to Messi about PSG move

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochettino has spoken directly to Lionel Messi about a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi and his father Jorge are gearing up for the arrival of a contract offer from the French giants over the weekend with the Argentine being open to a move to PSG, especially after it was made clear he wouldn’t be heading back to Barcelona.

They want to take their time over making the decision but they’re also aware of the fact that it’s now August, and with the new season getting underway across the continent sooner rather than later, it makes sense for a prompt decision to be made.

There’s still a whole lot of red tape to cut through before this can be made official but one thing is for sure: this signing would undoubtedly make PSG the favourites to finally capture the Champions League title.
