Pochettino wants Wijnaldum at PSG

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Mauricio Pochettino believes Georginio Wijnaldum could be the key to unlocking PSG’s midfield problems.

Paris Saint-Germain haven’t quite been able to go that extra mile either in the league or in Europe this season and while there’s still a chance they could snatch the Ligue 1 crown from underneath Lille’s nose, Pochettino understands that a lot of work needs to be done during the summer transfer window to improve his squad.

Wijnaldum is set to leave Liverpool in the summer after months of speculation surrounding where he’s going to end up heading next. The popular opinion has been, for a while now, that he’d be jetting over to Spain to join Barcelona. While that’s very much still a plausible possibility, it appears as if Paris Saint-Germain are pretty eager to throw their name into the hat as a potential bidding war for the Dutchman approaches.
