According to a recent report from Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino has big plans for Mason Mount at Chelsea.
While it has yet to be confirmed, the expectation is that Mauricio Pochettino will become Chelsea’s new manager at the end of the season. It comes at the end of a turbulent season for the Blues with Frank Lampard gearing up for his final few games in charge.
Mason Mount, meanwhile, hasn’t been as much of an impact player during the campaign as many would’ve expected. His future is up in the air with his contract approaching its final 12 months.
Some reports have indicated that he could be sold in the name of keeping Chelsea within the Financial Fair Play rules. However, Pochettino has a different idea, with the former Spurs boss wanting to keep him on the books in an attempt to turn his career around.
Either way, it’s going to be a big six months for the Englishman.
