Wolverhampton Wanderers have been doing a lot of good business in the transfer market in the past few years. Ever since the arrival of Jorge Mendes as one of their main men for searching for signings, Wolves have done a remarkable job, adding players like Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez amongst others. But it could be the case that another Portuguese player could be joining them very soon.
According to the Portuguese O Jogo, Daniel Podence’s move from Olympiakos to Wolves could be nearing completion, as they are claiming the player has undergone a medical with the Premier League side. The forward is expected to sign a deal at Molineux which should see him stay at the club until June 2024. The reported transfer fee should be around 23 million euros, or just under 20 million pounds.
Podence has five goals and five assists for Olympiacos this season, including a Champions League goal against Tottenham Hotspur last autumn.
