Galatasaray are closing in on the signing of Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski, according to the Express.
The Germany international spent the second season on loan at Inter Milan, but scored just one goal in eighteen appearances in all competitions.
Prior to his switch to the Italy, Podolski racked up eighty-two appearances for the Gunners, scoring thirty-one goals.
Two of those strikes came in a 4-1 Champions League win against Galatasaray in Istanbul last December, and now could return to the Turk Telekom Arena for as little as £1.5m.
The 30 year old has previously stated that he would be keen to remain with the North London club, but with Arsene Wenger linked with moves for both Gonzalo Higuain and Jackson Martinez, he is set to move further down the pecking order.
Having finished in third place last season, Arsenal begin the forthcoming campaign at home against West Ham United.
