Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan will not be turning Lukas Podolski’s loan deal into permanent move at the end of the current campaign.
The Germany international arrived at Giuseppe Meazza as a marquee signing in January, having joined the club on loan until the end of season.
However, he has been utterly disappointing at the start of his career in Italy, with many pundits dubbing him one of club’s worst signings in history.
It is, therefore, not surprising that Inter officials have no plans to keep hold of the experienced forward beyond the current season.
Podolski started eight Serie A matches for Inter Milan, while making another two substitute appearances, but he couldn’t manage a single goal or assists in that period.
He is now set to return to Arsenal when his loan stint come to an end and it remains to be seen whether he will be leaving the Gunners before his deal expires in June 2016.
