Italian media outlet La Stampa has suggested that Juventus hotshot Paul Pogba could become the league’s highest-paid player.
The highly rated midfielder recently signed a new deal until June 2019 that saw his wages increase from €1.5m to €4.5m per campaign.
But, La Stampa has now revealed that Pogba’s salary will continue to rise with every season he remains in Turin, reaching €6.5 million in three years.
That would make the 21-year-old the highest-paid footballer in Italian Serie A, together with Roma’s Daniele De Rossi.
Juventus officials worked hard to persuade Pogba to leave Manchester United for Turin two years ago, but they were soon rewarded for their efforts with the Frenchman developing into a key player for the Bianconeri.
Pogba has so far scored 13 goals in 71 Serie A appearances for the club, and is already considered one of Europe’s top midfielders, with Real Madrid and PSG reportedly keen on his services.
