Manchester United’s teenage French star Paul Pogba is being chased by Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan.
The 18-year-old made his first-team breakthrough at Old Trafford this season and is highly rated by Sir Alex Ferguson, but the midfielder is currently stalling on signing a new contract and both Milan clubs are keen to sign him, according to The Mirror.
Competition for a starting position in the Manchester United midfield is fierce, and with first-team opportunities likely to be more readily available in Italy, the midfielder could refuse to sign a new contract at Old Trafford and move for a nominal fee.
Ferguson is keen to tie down the midfielder he signed controversially from Le Harve in 2009, and has rewarded the youngster with starts in the League Cup and a place on the substitutes’ bench for the Champions League tie with Otelul Galati.
With Pogba out of contract in the summer he would be able to talk to foreign clubs from January, though if he was to decide his future lies away from Old Trafford, United would be due compensation under the Bosman Ruling as the player is under 23 .
