Paul Pogba of Manchester United would prefer to return to Turin and play for Juventus again to moving Real Madrid this summer, according to Sky Sports’ Italian branch.
United are keen on keeping their record signing at the club, but he seems to have his heart set on departure. He recently said it was perhaps time for a new challenge. If they are forced into a sale, the 20-time English champions will apparently demand no less than £150 million for the player they paid £89 million three years ago.
The 26-year-old World Cup winning midfielder has been linked with a move to Real in recent months, but the Spanish giants have already spent a huge amount of money this window on the transfers of Eder Militao, Luka Jović, Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo Goes, raising concerns over their ability to comply the Financial Fair Play rules. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to match United’s demands.
As for Juventus, the Serie A champions are currently trying to iron out personal terms with Pogba’s representatives, and once they get that out of the way, it will be time to approach United with an offer.
