According to a recent report from Daily Telegraph, Manchester United will not sell Paul Pogba in the January transfer window.
Instead, they are fully prepared for him to leave at the end of the season – potentially even on a free transfer as that’s when his contract is due to expire.
A move this big tends to be the kind of thing that happens in the summer as opposed to January and because of how good Pogba can be when he’s at his best, it makes a lot of sense for United to keep hold of him for the remainder of the campaign.
Plus, if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does wind up leaving the club prior to the season ending, the man who comes in to replace him could be tasked with convincing Pogba to stay. It’s a long shot, but it’s certainly not impossible given how strong his relationship with the club has been in the past.
