Paul Pogba remains keen on the idea of leaving Manchester United in the near future, according to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic.
In his article, the journalist made an insightful comparison between the midfielder’s performances at club and international level, showing very clearly that the player has been doing a lot better under Didier Deschamps for France, than for United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Much has been said recently about what position would suit his qualities best while also not clashing with the role performed so well by Bruno Fernandes, and it seems there is still no universally accepted answer.
The 27-year-old is under contract until 2022, and potential suitors are currently without significant funds to the ongoing pandemic. However, Whitwell writes that sources say Pogba still wants to leave, and he sees the chance to do so as a free agent at the age of 29 as the best route to do so as it would give him the ability to choose his destination himself.
Pogba has mostly been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus, though Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned.
