Paul Pogba wants to stay at Manchester United, according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The French midfielder has continuously been linked with Real Madrid ever since he said playing there would be a ‘dream’ for any player last spring, though his former club Juventus have also reportedly expressed a desire to take him back to Turin. His season so far has been a rather trying one, hampered with injuries, and his return to action is currently being delayed by illness.
Speaking to The Telegraph exclusively, Raiola confirmed that Real Madrid came in hard for his client in the summer, but Pogba refused to go against United’s wishes and wouldn’t push for a move no matter what. Real boss Zinedine Zidane is apparently very keen on having his compatriot in the team, but it seems the 26-year-old would rather stay at Old Trafford.
Raiola, however, feels United haven’t shown Pogba enough support, and he urges them to do more in that respect.
