Pavel Pogrebnyak wants to seal a permanent move from Stuttgart to Fulham when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Russian international Pogrebnyak joined Fulham on a six-month loan in January, and has already netted five goals in six appearances for the English Premier League club.
Fulham manager Martin Jol is reportedly keen to acquire the 28-year-old on a long-term basis, and negotiations with Bundesliga side Stuttgart are expected to begin soon.
Pogrebnyak told The Sun: “I need a coach like Jol and would love to stay in England and continue to work with him.
“A conversation with the club’s leadership will be held in the near future.
“The English game is faster than in Germany, and there are a lot of battles. But I think I’ve got used to it.”
Several other Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation, with Aston Villa and Sunderland believed to be keen on former Zenit St Petersburg man Pogrebnyak.
