Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has admitted that the club are interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international Steve Finnan from Spanish side Espanyol.
Finnan has failed to impress in Spain after spending less than 12 months at Espanyol.
Hart has admitted that a deal could happen soon.
“We are interested in Finnan and are hoping something can happen on that one soon,” the Pompey boss told The News.
“There are a few things need clearing up. That’s all I want to say right now.”
