Premier League side Portsmouth pair Papa Bouba Diop and Kanu have both signed new contracts at the Barclays Premier League club.
Midfielder Diop has signed a one-year extension to his current deal to keep him at Fratton Park until 2011.
Diop has made 55 appearances for the club since joining from Fulham in 2007 and there is an option to further extend his deal to 2012.
Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie said of Diop’s new deal: “It’s good news. Papa’s a strong midfielder and it’s great that he has committed himself to Pompey.
“Papa wanted to extend his contract last season but he injured his knee so first we wanted to make sure he was fit and there were no problems,” Storrie added.
Nigerian Kanu has scored 21 goals in 98 appearances for Pompey and has penned a one-year deal to remain at the club until next summer.
