Premier League side Portsmouth have reportedly bid for Cardiff City’s Scottish forward Ross McCormack, following Peter Crouch’s recent move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Hull City, was identified as a potential transfer target by Pompey boss Paul Hart and now an offer has been made.
While, it was previously reported that the Scotland international had handed in a transfer request with Championship outfit Cardiff due a desire to play top-flight football, McCormack himself has denied the report of handing in a transfer request.
But McCormack’s agent, Willie McKay, had previously made it clear in the past that the 22-year-old has an agreement with the Bluebirds which allows him to move to the Premier League.
However, Cardiff will not allow the striker, who scored 23 goals last season to earn a new deal, to leave if the price is not right.
