The Thursday night’s MLS playoff action brought a slightly embarrassing moment for Portland Timbers.
With the final whistle blown on their 3-2 loss to Seattle Sounders, several players from Portland fell started celebrating emotionally only to find out they got the scoreline wrong due to a 4-4 aggregate result.
Luckily, the successful penalty shootout saved them some blushes but it’s remarkable that certain players who call themselves professionals would have no clue on what was going on.
