Competition: MLS

Market: Portland Timbers win and both teams to score

Odds: 7/4 @ Bet 365

Looking to carry on their impressive run of form, Portland Timbers will welcome Western Conference strugglers San Jose Earthquakes to Providence Park.

Starting with the hosts, after picking up a 3-2 win over Seattle Sounders last time out, The Timbers have begun to climb up the Western Conference and a win on Sunday could see them break into the Top Four. Along with booking their spot in the quarter-finals of the US Open Cup, Portland are now unbeaten since the middle of April. Giovanni Savarese will be looking for talisman Diego Valeri to carry on his impressive run of form. After being announced as the MVP of the MLS last season, the 32-year-old Argentinian got all three assists against Seattle last time out and is the leading goalscorer and assist maker for the hosts.

As for the visitors, while The Earthquakes are coming off the back of a dramatic 3-3 draw with LA Galaxy last time out and have now picked up a single point in their last three appearances on the bounce, San Jose still sit rock-bottom of the Western Conference and will find it incredibly difficult to leave Providence Park with anything on Sunday. Along with being knocked out of the cup by The Timbers last month, San Jose have now only picked up one win since March and have also lost their last two meetings with The Timbers.
