French daily newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that FC Porto are set to complete the move for Lorient striker Vincent Aboubakar.
The Cameroon starlet has become one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window following some scintillating displays in French Ligue 1, with Hull City and Sporting Lisbon among his suitors.
However, L’Equipe claims that FC Porto have won the race for his signature having had a €10 million bid accepted for the forward’s services.
The Dragons officials took advantage of the Champions League tie against Lille to close the deal that will be announced in the coming days.
After recording a 1-0 triumph at Grand Stade Lille Metropole, FC Porto are 8/11 favourites to win the return leg as well.
Vincent Aboubakar, 22, joined Lorient from Valenciennes last summer and he has since bagged 17 goals in 37 Ligue 1 outings, finishing the 2013/2014 season second in the top goalscorer charts behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
