Porto are hot on the trail of FK Zeta goalkeeper Danijel Petkovic, according to the player’s official representative.
The 21-year-old has been putting in some scintillating displays on domestic stage, while also impressing while playing for Montenegro Under-21 side.
And it appears he has done enough to catch the eye of the Portuguese giants, who reportedly sent scouts to watch him in his last two matches.
Petkovic’s agent has revealed that FC Porto are keeping close tabs on his client, hinting at a January move to Estadio do Dragao.
“Porto scouts came to watch Zeta’s last two games against Buducnost and Bokelj because of Danijel Petkovic,” the agent told Informer CG.
“They were very pleased with what they saw and there is a big possibility that he will sign a contract with the Portuguese giants in January.”
Danijel Petkovic came through the youth ranks at FK Bokelj and went on to make 26 top flight appearances for the club before joining FK Zeta in the summer.
The talented shot-stopper, who was already handed his senior Montenegro debut, was also on the verge of joining Rennes and it appears he will soon be moving to a top European club after all.
