(GSM) – Porto are likely to feature in the final of this year’s Portuguese Cup following a 1-3 win at Rio Ave in the semi final first leg on Wednesday.
The defending league champions started well with Ruben scoring the opener on 20 minutes, but Bruno Moraes equalised 17 minutes later.
The visitors did take distance in the second half. Raul Meireles netted his side’s second in the 54th minute and Colombian Fredy Guarin made it 1-3 in the 76th.
The second leg will be played at Porto’s Dragao stadium on April 14.
The winner of this tie faces the winner of the semi final clash between Desportivo Chaves and Naval 1º de Maio. On Tuesday, Chaves surprisingly won the first leg 1-0.
