Catalan radio station RAC 1 is reporting that FC Porto are hot on the trail of Barcelona starlet Marc Bartra.
Despite conceding just 13 goals in 34 league matches last term, the Dragons appear to be in the market for defensive reinforcements, and the Spain international has emerged as their top target.
FC Porto officials seem ready to step up their interest in the player, but the problem is that Barcelona do not appear prepared to sell.
Marc Bartra is reportedly unhappy by the lack of playing time, seeing as he is currently behind Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano and Jeremy Mathieu in the pecking order.
And having started just 11 La Liga fixtures last term as opposed to 17 the previous year, the 24-year-old may decide to quit the Catalans in search of first team football.
Bartra remains an important member of the Spain national team and has so far made five appearances for La Furia Roja.
