FC Porto are stepping up their efforts to recruit Brazilian midfielder Lucas Lima from Santos, according to Portuguese media outlet A Bola.
The Dragons are on the lookout for a creative midfielder seeing as youngster Oliver Torres has returned to Atltico Madrid and they appear hot on the trail of the 24-year-old footballer.
A Bola is reporting that the player’s agent is set to travel to Portugal to try and find and agreement with the Primeira Liga side.
According to the same source, Santos value their star player at €10 million, although the Dragons will attempt to lower the asking price.
Lucas Lima began his career with Inter de Limeira and also played for Internacional and Sport Recife before joining Santos in February 2014.
He has since made 64 league appearances for the Brazilian giants, scoring 5 goals in the process, quickly developing into an important player for the club.
