Porto, Jesualdo Ferreira proud of his players

A jubilant FC Porto coach Jesualdo Ferreira was “very proud” of his players following the away-goals defeat of Club Atlético de Madrid which secured a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

“We are among the eight best teams in Europe and that makes me very proud of my team – he said after the 0-0 at Do Dragao Stadium -. I was a bit surprised with the cautious way Atlético started the match but maybe that was their strategy. They showed they had learned their lesson in Spain and managed to improve defensively. We are even more confident now and I truly believe we can provide a challenge for anybody in the next round”.
