Italian TV station Sky Sport Italia understands that FC Porto have moved to the front of the queue for Atletico Nacional midfielder Juan Quintero.
The player who is currently on loan at Pescara has widely impressed in his first Serie A season, catching the eye of Europe’s top clubs in the process.
A number of Italy’s top sides are weighing up a move for the talented footballer, but Sky Sport Italia claims FC Porto have the upper hand.
The Dragons have an excellent scouting network in South America and they have been keeping tabs on Quintero for a while now.
FC Porto officials believe this is the right time to launch an assault on the Colombian, who is likely to be available for €7 million.
The 20-year-old has largely impressed at the Under-20 South American Championship earlier this year and is also followed by Inter, Milan and Paris Saint Germain.
