South American TV channel Antena 2 is reporting that FC Porto are weighing up summer move for Colombian striker Juan David Perez.
The Dragons are slowly preparing for life without star striker Jackson Martinez and it appears they will be shopping for his replacement in America.
According to Antena 2, Porto are considering a summer bid for Pachuca striker Juan David Perez, who is currently on loan with Independiente Medellin.
Despite being owned by the Mexican side, who had earlier sold Hector Herrera to the Dragons, the 24-year-old has spent his entire career up to date in Colombia, scoring just 28 goals in 111 league appearances.
Nevertheless, Porto officials clearly believe the striker has the potential to develop into a high-quality footballer and they are ready to take the gamble in the summer transfer window.
The Dragons sit three points behind leaders Benfica with three games to go and they are 8/1 shot for the league trophy.
