Portuguese champions Porto have officially confirmed the signing of Saidy Janko. While the move has been known amongst the media and the general public for well over ten days now, Porto have only today unveiled Janko and the official terms behind the deal. The 22-year-old right back & right winger joins the club off the back of a one-year stay in France with Saint-Etienne, although throughout the course of his young career, he has yet to find anywhere that he’s been able to call a sustainable home.
After starting things off with hometown club FC Zurich, Janko spent a year on the books with Manchester United before signing a pro-contract for another twelve months. This included a brief spell with Bolton Wanderers as well as some time with Celtic, and now he’ll be hoping to finally get a longer run in the first team of an elite European club like Porto.
