Portuguese newspaper A Bola is reporting that FC Porto are on the verge of completing the signing of Juan Fernando Quintero from Pescara.
The Dragons have been showing interest in the 20-year-old for quite a while, but they could not complete the deal as the player was on international duty.
With Colombia eliminated from the Under-20 World Cup, FC Porto are expected to wrap up the transfer in the coming days.
According to A Bola, Quintero has already agreed a five-year contract with the Portuguese giants, but they have yet to strike terms with the player’s employers.
Pescara are reportedly holding out for €10 million, and Porto seem ready to splash the cash on the Colombian midfielder.
Quintero, who only joined Pescara last summer from Envigado, has impressed in his first season in Serie A and in turn attracted interest from some of Italy’s top clubs, although it would appear as though Porto lead the chase at the moment.
