Argentine whiz kid Juan Manuel Iturbe has signed a five-year deal with Porto, as his father has revealed earlier today.
Porto is set to pay Cerro Porteno €1 million for the player’s rights, with the player set to spend next six months on loan at Dragao Stadium before signing a permanent transfer.
The player’s father, Juan Del Carmen revealed the news in his interview for A Bola.
“I spoke with Iturbe by phone since he is in Peru, with Argentina Under-20 squad, and he was very happy and excited to have become Porto player.
”We have spent four beautiful days in Porto. My wife and I were treated very well and we wish to thank the club leaders for that. We love the club and the city.”
The 17-year-old Iturbe is considered one of the hottest prospects in Argentina, with his impressive displays earning him the tag of ‘New Messi’.
Atletico reject €45 million for Aguero
Atletico Madrid official Miguel Angel Gil admits the club have rejected two offers for Kun Aguero this week.
Chelsea and Real Madrid both had their offers for Sergio Aguero rejected by Atletico Madrid.
“Yesterday I received an offer of €45 million from Real Madrid for Aguero and I said no,” Gil told AS.
“This week, Chelsea offered us €60 million for ‘Kun’ and Godin and our answer was the same. I will not negotiate with Real Madrid or any other club for Aguero now or in the summer.”
Atletico president, Enrique Cerezo claims he knows nothing about the offers in question.
“If anyone has spoken with the general director I am not aware of that, but I guess he said the same as we: Aguero is not for sale and we don’t negotiate with anyone.”
The latest developments suggest Atletico really have no plans to sell their best player, although it remains to be seen whether he would be willing to remain at Vicente Calderon with los Colchoneros largely struggling at the moment.
Inter closing in on Pazzini
Inter are on the verge of signing Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Inter official Marco Branca, Sampdoria sporting director Doriano Tosi and Pazzini’s agent, Tulio Tinti reportedly met on Tuesday afternoon.
Sampdoria want between €18 and €20 million for the Italy international, but Inter are prepared to offer €10 million plus Jonathan Biabiany.
Sampdoria are holding out for more cash as they believe Inter’s valuation of Biabiany is a bit high, and further meetings are expected today.
With Inter desperate to sign a striker at the moment and Sampdoria ready to negotiate, everything suggests the transfer will be completed very soon.
