Porto star has no regrets over failed Chelsea move

Porto full-back Alvaro Pereira is adamant he holds no regret over the failed summer move to Chelsea.

The Blues tried to sign the Uruguayan international soon after Andre Villas-Boas arrived to Stamford Bridge, but were unable to reach an agreement with Porto.

Chelsea are expected to rekindle their interest in the 26-year-old in the January transfer window.

“I was glad that such an important club showed interest in signing me,” Pereira told Monte Carlo TV.

“If the transfer did not happen it was for some reason, and I am sure that fate holds something better for me.

“I look at this as something positive, rather than a negative thing in my career. All I have to do is look forward and continue to work.”
