Porto midfielder Fernando has cooled off speculation linking him with a January switch to Inter by pledging his future to the Dragons.
The Brazilian midfielder has been flirting with Inter for a while now, and the Neroazzurri are thought to be preparing a new assault on the player.
The Portuguese champions are believed to be ready to cash in on their prized asset, but Fernando reveals he is in no hurry to leave.
“I am very happy at Porto, motivated to have another great season,” Fernando explained to Portuguese national TV station RTP. “I have two years left on my contract and I hope to honour it in full.”
The 25-year-old began his career at a third division club in Brazil, Vila Nova, but his potential was quickly spotted by the Porto scouts.
The player joined the Dragons in June 2007, but was immediately loaned to Estrela Amadora.
Since returning to Dragao Stadium, Fernando has made 95 league appearances for the club, scoring one goal in the process.
