Spanish radio station Cadena SER is reporting that FC Porto have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid.
The talented footballer arrives at Estadio do Dragao on a season-long loan, with a buy-out clause also inserted in the deal.
Having shown a great deal of potential at Santiago Bernabeu, the Brazilian was linked with quite a few top clubs this summer, with Benfica, Inter Milan and Monaco all showing interest.
Nevertheless, it appears that FC Porto were the first side to find an understanding with his employers, with Casemiro expected to gain much needed first team experience during the loan spell in Portugal.
The 22-year-old made a total of 12 La Liga outings last term, while featuring in seven Copa del Rey matches and six Champions League games.
Casemiro will be Porto’s fourth high-profile signing of the summer, following in the footsteps of Adrian Lopez, Cristian Tello and Bruno Martins Indi.
