FC Porto gained a morale-boost ahead of Tuesday's Portuguese Cup semi-final against Vitória FC in Setubal by winning the league meeting there between the teams 2-1 on Saturday night.
With Porto having already wrapped up the title both teams rested players but Lisandro López started and scored on 26 minutes. Mariano González swiftly doubled the lead but although Hugo pulled one back, Porto held on. Vitória SC beat Boavista FC 1-0 to go three points clear of SL Benfica in second.
